Exercising with muscles that haven't been properly warmed up can cause strains and lead to even more back pain than you had in the first place. Walking at a brisk pace is a perfect warm up and is great for your whole body. After your warm up, consider yoga, Pilates or water exercises. All of these types of exercise can be modified to suit the needs of back pain sufferers.

The best thing to do if you have lower back pain mainly in the mornings is to consult your doctor. He or she may be able to diagnose the problem, or refer you to a back pain specialist who can. In addition to the remedies mentioned in this article, there are medical treatments for certain types of back problems. Also, alternative medicine may be used in an attempt to eradicate the discomfort.
